Hey! My name is Brenden, I'm 17 years young and I have Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID). My life was filled with bouts of sickness and constant fatigue. I went from doctor to doctor with the same unfortunate endings - that they could not explain my sickness. I finally met an immunologist, who absolutely had a positive impact on my life. I was diagnosed in 2007, and I am currently on Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (SCIG) therapy. I love the flexibility and control I have with my treatments.
I am now a senior in high school focused on the long drawn out search for the "perfect fit" college. I'm aspiring to one day go to medical school and become a physician. I continue to surf nearly every day, and golf whenever the weather is warm! So to anyone who was in my shoes, keep doing what makes you happy because that's the key to being healthy.
